Coach Prajith Mudi Joins the Seattle Cyclones as Head Coach

We are thrilled to announce that Coach Prajith Mudi has graciously agreed to be the Head Coach for the Seattle Cyclones. Coach Prajith recently returned from Zimbabwe, where he served as Assistant Coach of the USA Men’s Under-19 National Team at the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2026. This marks a significant milestone for our franchise, bringing world-class coaching expertise fresh from the international stage to the heart of women’s cricket in the Pacific Northwest.

A Coach Close to Our Hearts

Coach Prajith is not new to the Seattle cricket community. He served as the Head Coach for the 2025 West Zone Intra-regional team, the Seattle Amazonians, where many of our current Cyclones players competed and developed their skills. Over the past year, he has graciously dedicated his time to coaching girls across the Seattle area, building not just technical skills but also confidence, discipline, and a deep love for the game.

His impact on our players has been transformative, and his appointment as Head Coach is a natural evolution of the trust and respect he has earned from our entire organization.

World-Class Experience

Coach Prajith brings an impressive international pedigree to the Cyclones:

  • Former First-Class Cricketer: A wicketkeeper-batsman who represented Andhra in Indian domestic cricket
  • Minor League National Champion: Led the Seattle Thunderbolts to the championship in 2022
  • Talent Scout: Worked with the Seattle Thunderbolts and Seattle Orcas (MLC), collaborating with renowned cricketer Ross Taylor
  • ICC Level 2 Coach: Holds advanced coaching certification from the International Cricket Council
  • USA Cricket Coaching: Most recently appointed as Assistant Coach for the USA Men’s Under-19 National Team for the 2026 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup
  • International Exposure: Worked with teams across continents, including high-performance camps in South Africa and tournaments in the Caribbean

His coaching philosophy emphasizes structured preparation, adaptive match strategies, and creating pathways for players to reach their full potential - values that align perfectly with the Cyclones’ mission. Read more about his inspiring journey.
